Waste water: new rules

The Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change has renewed its Maritime Waste Application (DAU) circular. The rules for handing over waste have changed for boats under the Blue Card System.

  • A boat whose waste tank reaches 80 per cent hands its waste to a reception facility or a waste collection vessel without waiting for its period to end.
  • The period counts the time spent under way inside the maritime jurisdiction areas.
  • Capacity means passengers and crew together.
  • The new circular replaces circular No. 2022/14.
